Board Member
Matthew Battiato, MPA, LSW is the Director of Lake County Job and Family Services. He has been the Director since 2006 and previously worked for Geauga County JFS for 27 years as a child protective social worker, human resource administrator and assistant director. The Wickliffe resident is a Licensed Social Worker who did his Master’s work at Cleveland State University.
Matt’s personal and professional passion is to provide all children with a healthy, safe and nurturing environment so that they can flourish and achieve their life goals. Being a board member of Dare 2 Care International gives him the opportunity to expand that passion beyond his work and local community and to impact children in Africa.
Matt is a member of the Lake County Opiate Task Force, Chairman of the Lake County Family and Children First Council and is an adjunct instructor at Lakeland Community College.
Matt and his wife, Maureen, have been married for 37 years and have three daughters, two son-in-laws, and two grandchildren. Matt’s favorite team is the Cleveland Indians and he plays softball in a Lakewood rec league. Matt loves the show Survivor and has applied to be on the show seven times, but still hasn’t been selected!
