Impact Areas

Impact Area: Health – Mother’s Newborn and Reproductive Health Kits

Hygiene plays a crucial role in the overall health of newborn babies who have not yet built a strong immune system and are susceptible to infections. Providing essential items for the care of newborns helps reduce the mental and economic pressures faced by teenage mothers in impoverished parts of the world. By Dare 2 Care International partnering with global International Nongovernment Organizations, and providing birthing/mother kits to young mothers in need will empower them and their babies to get a good start in reaching their full potential early in life.

Impact Area: Health – The Shoe That Grows

Over 1.5 billion people suffer from soil transmitted diseases worldwide. Without shoes, children are especially vulnerable to soil-transmitted diseases and parasites that can cause illness and even death. Children who contract these diseases miss school, can’t help their families, and suffer needlessly. The Shoe That Grows can change all of that. This shoe is adjustable in three places and expands up to four sizes…. growing with the child’s feet.

Impact Area: Education – Empowerment Grants

“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world,” said Nelson Mandela. It is our belief that every child deserves a quality education. Together, we can help improve the life of a child by encouraging self empowerment and giving the gift of education. No donation is too small to help with this education impact area. Dare 2 Care International collaborates with global partners including orphanages, nonprofit organizations, and schools across the globe to determine recipients of the Education Empowerment Grant which will set them up for success and hopefully break the cycle of poverty.

Impact Area: Basic Needs – Beds & Mattresses

During our visit to Cameroon in 2017, we spent time with an amazing woman and her orphanage. We noticed that some older children were sleeping in cribs, as there were no beds. We raised money to build 8 bunk beds, locally sourced and built, for the orphanage. This was an example of a high impact, quick solution to a need.
